Cheat Lake Results: May 11, 2008
On May 11, 2008, eleven teams launched this Sunday morning as it dawned mostly clear and cool with temperatures in the upper 40’s. A steady north westerly breeze beckoned the anglers. As they blasted into the rising sun many tactics would prove to be fruitful as bass were scattered at various depths. The team of Daniel Adams and Aron Wagner would be most successful by the 2:30 weigh-in. They were able to reel in 12.97 pounds of bass. Their stringer was anchored by a 5.19 pound largemouth, which was the Carquest big bass of the tournament. Following them by one pound even was the team of Wesley and Victor Merkel with a five fish limit weighing in at 11.97 pounds and second big fish, a 5.00 pound largemouth.
