Mt. Storm Lake Results: April 13, 2008

On April 13th, 2008, eighteen teams from the newly formed Tri-State Bass Circuit competed on Mt. Storm Lake for their first event. True to its name, Mt. Storm met us with all it had – snow, wind and rain. All but one team weighed in fish at the end of a blustery day and two five fish limits crossed the scales. The anglers reported using tubes, jigs and jerk baits to lure the bass into biting. Finishing in first place was the team of Terry and Brad Weese with five bass that weighted 8.26 pounds. Coming in second was Robert Allen and Trent Stanton with 7.45 pounds and the AMPZ big bass of the tournament – a 2.82 pound smallie. In third place was the team of Ron DeWitt and TJ Riley with 7.04 pounds anchored by a 2.62 pound bass, which was good for second big fish. We would like to personally thank our team of volunteers, Donna and Ron DeWitt for their assistance and endless support in this tournament and with the Tri-State Bass Circuit. We also want to give kudos to Gretchen and Todd Giarth and John Brewer. We would also like to thank our circuit sponsors for their support; Ashley Furniture – Altoona PA; Woodlands World – Uniontown, PA; Willetts Systems – Cumberland, MD; Millers Autoparts; Allegany Motor & Pump Service; Wee Vee Gard; Sure Life-Please Release Me; Carquest – Frostburg, MD; and Potomac River Custom Baits.
