Cheat Lake: May 17, 2009
On May 17, 2009, sixteen teams launched into the Sunday morning sun hoping for a winning stringer of bass to start of the 2009 Tri-State Bass Circuit season. The team of Daniel Adams and Mickey Shaffer would end up victorious at the 2:30pm weigh-in time. They started off the season by reeling in 11.27 pounds of largemouth bass. Their stringer was anchored by the second big bass of the tournament, a 3.57 pound largemouth. Second place went to the 2008 Angler of the Year team of Brad and Terry Weese with a five fish limit of 10.72 pounds. Third place was anchored by the Allegany Motor & Pump Service big bass of the tournament, a 3.86 pound largemouth. This went to the team of Robert Allen and Trent Stanton with a weight of 10.22 pounds.
