Deep Creek Lake, August 10, 2008
The Tri-State Bass Circuit fished its final tournament of the circuit season. The event was held on August 10, 2008 on Deep Creek Lake, near McHenry, Maryland with nineteen teams ready to compete. The weather was great – cool, partly cloudy and slightly windy. Despite the conditions, all but one team weighed in fish at the end of the day and thirteen five fish limits crossed the scales.
Finishing first was the team of Jake Fazenbaker and Lloyd LeMasters with five bass that weighed 13.82 pounds. Their stringer was anchored by a 3.90 pound largemouth, which was good for second big fish. In second place was Shawn Skobel and Gary Crayton with 11.62 pounds. In third place was the team of Terry and Brad Weese with 10.85 pounds. The Millers Autoparts Big Bass of the tournament went to David Grimes and Jay Mallow with a largemouth bass weighing 4.77 pounds.
The year to date point championship race has ended. The Tri-State Bass Circuit points champions are Terry and Brad Weese. The points champions received five free entries into the 2009 season.
